Hello,

Version 0.3 is ready for testing. Very Happy

Since we are so near to Christmas, we decided to release the new version just before the Christmas break as a nice present for you guys! santa

The idea is that if everyone is on holiday, then it will last for longer! Wink

Lets hope that it will work. scratch

Hello Tivenni,

the quality of vlc stream on the site is not as gd as the desktop player ver 0.2.. hopefully when ver 0.3 comes out the quality will be as gd as ver 0.2 .. see the link below.

Check out the first post, Vers 0.3 of the Desktop Player is now ready for testing. Very Happy

It is not 100% ready, some TV Streams (mostly the first button for each channel) are not finished.

Also the "full window" button is not very good at the moment.

All of these things can be finished off over the next few weeks.

Let us know here how it goes!

There is a glitch every 2 mins in the stream. I will try to improve this in the next version. Hopefully, we can make the glitch smoother.

The first button for each channel is now Silverlight (not VLC like in Ver 0.2). In fact VLC is not used at all in Ver 0.3.

As always let us know on the forum if you are having problems. Then we can look into the problem and think how we can improve it for everyone next time.

question: silverlight is really better than the 2nd ? cause I don't install it. but the 2nd work. so do I need to instal it ? thx

It's up to you if you want Silverlight. You may find that some of the channels (E.g. many movie channels) need Silverlight. I think that it depends on your system if the Silverlight Channels work better than the Flash channels, but it is always nice to have a backup anyway.

Hi Tiv,

Well, I've just flicked through every channel on the Desktop Player and they are all working perfectly, except a couple. It's such a pleasure to be able to get what you want, rather than have a line up where only 25% of them work. Congratulations, a job very well done. What a shame, the only thing missing really is the catchup player. Ah well, maybe in the future yeah!!!???

There is only the windows version built by Tiiveni so far Johncod, your going to have use the main website and wait until someone offers to build a Mac version.

No matter what i do the iplayer stucks at loading,i tried it with expat shield,and with out expat shield,i did install all the plug ins but still,it happens in every channel,any help??thanks
